The Valefar boy tricked Ivy Taylor into kissing him, but he took much more than a kiss - he stole her soul and left her within inches of death. By surviving, Ivy is drawn into the conflict between the Martis and the Valefar. The war between these two immortal forces has raged for millennia without distraction. Until now. Ivy is an anomaly-she is the only person who has ever walked away from a demon kiss alive. Her survival gives her unique and deadly abilities. Too powerful to ignore, Ivy is a threat to both armies. These two ancient enemies will stop at nothing to kill the seventeen-year-old. Surviving is nothing new for headstrong Ivy, but her survival has never depended on another person before. This time it does. And if she misplaces her trust, she's dead. To her horror, she starts falling in love at the worst possible time—with the enemy. He appears to be protecting her. But she can't be certain if he is trying to help her, or help himself to her power. For Ivy, trusting the right person is the difference between love and survival, or a deadly demon kiss.

I really dont know what to say about Demon kissed parts I liked then the other parts I could have justed skipped them. When I first heard about Demon kissed I read the 1st chapter on the authors website and really enjoyed it and couldn't wait to get the book but I think as some time happens you build the book up to be amazing and it just isn't as good as you think it will be. The book is told from Ivy's POV and starts with her boyfriend Jake taking her soul through you got it a kiss. Ivy is still trying to get over the death of her sisters 1 year before and has been going off the rails ever since then her best friend Collin has let her be when she has lost all her other friends. Then after Jake has nearly killed her Eric finds her and he has his own secret for Ivy. At times I really like Eric and Wanted Ivy to like him like that but after reading the book Ivy has to be with Collin with out a doubt. Ivy & Collin have such a nice relonship within the book with is what keep me reading. Demon Kissed had some twist's I didn't see come and I adored the ending. I liked the take on angels and demons with them being Martis & Valefar. Can't wait to see what happens in book 2. Favourite Quote "The past and the present crashed together in a deafening silence.I wanted the past to die,so I could distance myself from the pain, and forget even for a little while"

Wherever you go is Heather Davis third book and one that I really wanted to read so I was super excited to have got an ARC. All that being said I read her first book "don't cry werewolf" and didn't really enjoy it so was hoping for a much better read and i'm very happy to say Wherever you go is one emontionally packed novel with an outstanding plot and has been beautifuly writen. Wherever you go is told from the POV of the three main chacarters Holly,Jason and Rob. Holly is still trying to cope with the death of her boyfriend Rob while also looking after her kid sister as there mum works two jobs. As Holly's grandad Aldo gets to sick to live by himself he has to move in with them so now it falls on Holly again to be the adult/mum and help look after him aswell. I just could help but feel so sorry for her because of his you just want her to at least have some time to be a teenager. As Aldo spends time with Holly he tells her that a boy named Rob is talking to him but Holly does not believe that it is Rob's ghost and thinks it's Aldo's Alzheimers making him see things that are not there. I loved the Aldo and the relonship that him and Holly share with each other. Aldo ask for her help to remmeber a list he has made of all the things that have a special place in his heart. As Holly starts the list she tells only one other person about it Rob's best friend Jason he then agrees to help her and Aldo complete the list. Holly and Jason grow closer while doing the list and was so touching reading about them I couldn't help but want them to be together. Rob gets very jealous of the two of them spending time with each other and I really do feel for him as he watches his best friend and girlfriend but sometimes his POV just got on my nerves. Wherever you go is a great read with topics of death/depression/second chances with a amazing love story rolled into it and a book that will stay with me for a very long time to come. I look forward to whatever Heather Davis writes next. Favourite Quotes 1= When you grow older, you love again, and the new love feels so different that the love before feels like make-belive. The way you love changes throughout your life. Even the way you love the same person changes." 2=" All of it washed away in a tidal wave of love you see rushing towards her shore" 3= " You try to radiate your feeling because there are things you know that you want get the chance to say"

The survivours was a book I just had to have after reading the summary and was very lucky to be given a ARC by Amanda Havard (thank-you Amanda) I loved the premise for "The Survivours" as I have never read anything on the salem witch trails before and was not let down at all. This book has witches, shape shifters and different types of vampires what is not to love about all of them in one book. The book is told from Sadie's POV. I loved her voice and you just couldn't help but like her right from the start. All the other charaters make this book what it is and it has the right amount of character interaction. I am totally in love with Everett such a gentlemen. While reading The Survivours I wanted to know where all Sadie's money came from and was really glad when I found out. Also I felt that it couldn't make up it's mind if it was a YA book or a adult paranormal book but either it didn't take away from the amazing writing and was still suitable for younger YA readers. I loved the twist that I didn't see coming with the winters family towards the ending. I would have given the book 5 stars if it had just a bit more action in it but fingers crossed that book 2 has a bit extra on the action front. All in all I can't wait for book 2 after reading the sneak peek at the back of the book please please say that I don't have to wait a year for it. A great start to a new YA series :) Favourite Quotes= 1/ "For better or worse,I had kept that promise.I regretted it every day." 2/ "I realized only then that I had always assumed isolation was about naivete, but what if it was aboutmore than that?" 3/ " I can compete with anything except you not wanting me to know you.I'll listen to anything you want to say.If it's tough stuff, I'll hold you while you cry. If it's strange, I'll believe you. If it's terrible, then I'll forgive you.I just want to know who you are." 4/ "I need you to love me more than death"
Theia Alderson has always led a sheltered life in the small California town of Serendipity Falls. But when a devastatingly handsome boy appears in the halls of her school, Theia knows she's seen Haden before- not around town, but in her dreams. As the Haden of both the night and the day beckons her closer one moment and pushes her away the next, the only thing Theia knows for sure is that the incredible pull she feels towards him is stronger than her fear. And when she discovers what Haden truly is, Theia's not sure if she wants to resist him, even if the cost is her soul.

3.5/5 STARS
When I first started reading "Falling Under" I had no idea it was about demon's but liked the premise and carried on reading. But for me Falling Under just felt like the average YA book with nothing outstanding to set it apart. The last 100 pages saved it from being totally bad. All that being said there where parts that I did enjoy. I really like the book in Theia's POV with parts of what Haden was thinking added in small parts. Also towards the end the book filped to Haden's POV with added bits from Theia worked in to it. The romance between Theia & Haden was the saving grace of this book. Favourite Quotes= 1/ "I've wished I could walk away from you-even stop thinking of you for an hour,a minute. But I can't.I've tried.I need you with a longing that will surely kill me if I don't give in to it-but it will kill you if I do." 2/"This isn't a crush;it's obsession. You are never not in my thoughts.Your scent carries across a room and paralyzes me with longing.I don't want to hold your hand.Part of me wants to set you on fire and hold you while the flame consumes us both, to eat your heart so I know that only I possess it entirely" 3/"No, I don't remember you. I don't remember holding you or talking to you or falling in love with you-but I walk around with a giant hole in my heart all the time. I feel your absence every secondof the day.It aches and nothing soothes it. Losing you is bad enough, but I don't even get the comfort of remembering that I had you once." I will be reading the second book because I do think that it has potencial to be even better than Falling Under and I enjoy Gwen Hayes.

First off I would like to say thank you to Mayandree for letting me have the chance to read an ARC of Betrayal before it's release date. When I first read the plot summary I was like I need this book NOW. I have to say god, goddess and myths are becoming my favourite book subject to read about and Betrayal didn't let me down although I found that it didn't hit the right pace until 100 pages in but then it was like a run away train and I just could stop reading It just was amazing. I loved all the characters even the baddies. Betrayal is a must read for any YA fan. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't say I have to wait to long for book 2????????

WOW what can I say about "Wither" and after reading it the one word that won't stop repeating is WOW. Wither took me on a emtional roll coaster ride and shocked me to my very core at this amazing well written novel. Wither is the stand out debut of 2011. After waiting soooooo long for it to be released it didn't let me down at all. It held me while reading and when I wasn't reading it I just couldn't stop thinking about it. I'm 25 years old myself and i couldn't help but thinking if I lived in Lauren Destefano story I would have been dead for 5 years already. I just can't get my head around a world were men die at 25 and women at 20. The characters were all well rouned and had a clear voice within the book. I loved the relionship between Rhine the main character and her sister wife's(such a great term)Jenna & Cecily. Rhine has such a strong voice through out the whole book you can't but want her to run away from Linden and his father Vaughn. At times I found I liked Linden as a character and hated myself for it because of all he does but just like Rhine finds out he is just a puppet for this fathers choices. The sadest moment for me has to be Jenna she broke my heart in to two. The happiest moment has to be the ending because it has such a awesome ending but one that leaves me craving the second book because I NEED it NOW. Wither has one of the best cover's of 2011 and can't wait to see how they can top it for book 2. My Favourite Quotes 1/ "real is a dirty word in this place" 2/ "what has the free world got that you can't get here?" 3/ "He always gets the final say. So what-ever he ask of you, please, for your own good listen to him"

Playing Hurt is Holly Schindler 2nd novel and one that will ensure I read her 1st book "A Blue So Dark". Holly Schindler writing style is beautiful and touching with such a heart felt premise at it's centre. It took me the first few POV'S of the two main characters to get in to "Playing Hurt" but then I was totally sucked in and could not put the book down. I can't wait to see what Holly Schindler writes next.

She doesn't care who she stomps on in the process. I really loved "Where I Belong" It was a cute read that held my attention although the book and read it in one sitting. I love cowboys and this cover is hot.(swoon) All the characters are great even Corrinne when she was a fashionista to her becoming a recessionista.

This is my 2nd book by Gwen Hayes and one that will make me go out and read whatever she writes. So Over You is a fast paced quick read with so much detail that the story just jumped of the page. The two main characters Jimmy and Layney are just great together some of the best bits in the book come from them. So Over You is a story of friendship, lose, romance and finding yourself again. Perfect for any YA chick lit fan. Favourite Quotes 1= "I told her I liked the way your name made my heart jump" 2= "You don't want to get to your destination and not remember anything about your trip"

5/5 STARS

Timeless is the best deubt I have read so far in 2011. There are just not enough words for how good it really is. What I loved the most -That the book started with the main character dreaming of her mystery boy. -The romance of the whole book -Michele & Philip together -Philip is a really great character and I really enjoyed Michele telling him about the future. -The way Michele travels back in time. -Seeing each new era of New York as Michele travels each time. My favourite quote " I will find a way back to you. No matter what, I promise" I really can't wait for "Timekeeper" (book 2) as Alexandra Monir made me feel like I was going along the ride with Michele aslo with the OMG ending and I really want to find out more about her father. A whole year is to long to wait for it.

Sophie Mercer thought she was a witch. That was the whole reason she was sent to Hex Hall, a reform school for delinquent Prodigium (aka witches, shapeshifters, and fairies). But that was before she discovered the family secret, and that her hot crush, Archer Cross, is an agent for The Eye, a group bent on wiping Prodigium off the face of the earth. Turns out, Sophie’s a demon, one of only two in the world—the other being her father. What’s worse, she has powers that threaten the lives of everyone she loves. Which is precisely why Sophie decides she must go to London for the Removal, a dangerous procedure that will destroy her powers. But once Sophie arrives she makes a shocking discovery. Her new friends? They’re demons too. Meaning someone is raising them in secret with creepy plans to use their powers, and probably not for good. Meanwhile, The Eye is set on hunting Sophie down, and they’re using Archer to do it. But it’s not like she has feelings for him anymore. Does she?

4.5 STARS

Rachel Hawkins has done it again Rasing Demons was the perfect follow up to Hex Hall. I loved being back in the Hex Hall world and reading about the old & new characters. Sophie seems to hace grow up a bit from the last book. I really really really love Sophie and Cal together and hope there is more romance to come from these two as at times I find Archer a pain in the ass and really on and off as a character. The new characters Daisy and Nick were great shame about what happned to them in the story tho. All the way though the book I just didn't want it to end it was so much better than Hex Hall. Favourite line "Oh my god, a straight-edge demon! I freaking love it" All I can say is I really don't think I can wait a year for book 3 because of the ending WOW amazing I need to know what happens next.

5/5 STARS

Kim Harrington deubt Clarity is a work of YA art. What I loved the most about Clarity is how kick ass Clare is as a character and that all of her family are "special" not just her. All the way though reading I had no idea who the killer was one minute I was sure it was that character then I was like no it that character. I loved how this book keep me on my toes and kept me guessing the whole way though. Funniest moment for me has to be with the husband & wife. Ha ha ha serves him right. I loved the ending of this book and the hints of what could happen in book 2. Favourite quote "I knew about loyalty about putting family before all others. I'd already learned some things I'd do to protect my own. I'd withold infomation from the police. I'd use people. I'd lie. If pushed hard........how far would I go." I'm such a cover lover so it took me finishing the book to get and love the cover. Kim Harrington has a way with words that form an amazing well written novel and I will be reading Not only book 2 of Clarity but any other books she writes.

It's the beginning of senior year and Yuki's psychic awareness of ghostly spirits is threatening to ruin her life. Her ability to sense spirits of the dead isn't glamorous like on TV. SHE SMELLS THE DEAD. Yuki is being visited in her dreams and suspects that her friend Calvin is involved in something strange. Will Yuki be able to save the spirits and herself?

3.5 STARS She smells the dead is the 1st book in a new YA series. were we meet Yuki the main character and her ablity to smell the dead. Yuki is a enjoyable character to read about along with Cal who I love to bits to her best friend who was likeable stright away. I loved that this book wasn't just about Yuki being able to smell the dead but that Cal had his own secret aswell.Yuki was a bit slow to catch on to Cal's secret as myself as a reader got it before her. What I really liked about this book was Yuki and Cal together and how there fate is woven in to each other. my two favourite quotes are - "Keep your feet on the path of healing help the lost ones find their way.You must be the flame in the darkness" - "I miss you you're standing right in front of me and I miss you" With the ending of this book i look forward to reading book 2. She smells the dead is a good start to the series. fingers crossed book 2 will be even better. Over all a really good YA paranormal romance. Which is a must read for any YA lover.

4.5 STARS Molly Bryant is a new voice in the YA genre that every one should read. I would like to say a big thank you to Molly for letting me read her un-edited manuscript before being published (aug 2011). Wandering Souls is a awesome book which sucked me right in to the story world Molly Bryant has created and keep me up all night reading it. Wandering Souls is very well written and was a total pleasure to read from the amazing characters to the plot that had an edge you don't normaly find in YA which is one of the main reasons that I found myself loving it so much. Molly Bryant didn't shy away from writing about sex and abuse and told of it in a tasteful way when I find other YA books mostly avoid these topic's. Favourite Quote "I live to remember,I live to find you" I loved all of Wandering Souls and the cliff hanger ending. i pray that there will be a 2nd book as i need more of Tatum and Lance. If there is going ro be a 2nd book I would love more of Lance's story and maybe the book told from both of there POV'S but thats just me because I love books told from two different types of POV'S. One last thing please please Molly let me re-read Wandering Souls when it has been edited and ready to be published. :)

This debut, the first novel in a trilogy, is achingly romantic, terrifying, and filled with blistering action. Now that Ellie's powers have been awakened, a powerful reaper called Bastian has come forward to challenge her. He has employed a fierce assassin to eliminate her - an assassin who has already killed her once. Bastian plans to use this weapon to ignite the End of Days and to destroy Ellie's soul, ending her rebirth cycle forever. 3/5 STARS

I couldn't write my review stright away as I was unsure what star rating to give but as I thought this book more after reading it.I have decide to give it 3 stars as it didn't live up to all that I thought it would be. The one thing I did really like was that it was about reapers and the different types of them. Which is something I haven't read about before. A slow start to what sounded like such a great YA series. The last 100 pages saved it from being totally poor book. I really hope book 2 has everything Angelfire fell short on.

In the beginning, there's a boy standing in the trees . . . .
Clara Gardner has recently learned that she's part angel. Having angel blood run through her veins not only makes her smarter, stronger, and faster than humans (a word, she realizes, that no longer applies to her), but it means she has a purpose, something she was put on this earth to do. Figuring out what that is, though, isn't easy.
Her visions of a raging forest fire and an alluring stranger lead her to a new school in a new town. When she meets Christian, who turns out to be the boy of her dreams (literally), everything seems to fall into place—and out of place at the same time. Because there's another guy, Tucker, who appeals to Clara's less angelic side.
As Clara tries to find her way in a world she no longer understands, she encounters unseen dangers and choices she never thought she'd have to make—between honesty and deceit, love and duty, good and evil. When the fire from her vision finally ignites, will Clara be ready to face her destiny?
Unearthly is a moving tale of love and fate, and the struggle between following the rules and following your heart.

5/5 STARS
Unearthly is in one word AMAZING it took my breath away. After reading Torment and disliking it then not even being able to finish Halo i had given up on angel books but Unearthly is a breath of fresh air and made me love reading about angels again. Cynthia Hand has wrote a beautiful book that I will love for a long time to come. Clara is such a likeable character and I really enjoyed her POV. Tucker has become my all time favourite YA book crush i love him and Clara together. I really can not wait to see what happens in the next book and to see how they top the cover as the cover for Unearthly is beautiful!

It's always been just Kate and her mom—and her mother is dying. Her last wish? To move back to her childhood home. So Kate's going to start at a new school with no friends, no other family and the fear her mother won't live past the fall.
Then she meets Henry. Dark. Tortured. And mesmerizing. He claims to be Hades, god of the Underworld—and if she accepts his bargain, he'll keep her mother alive while Kate tries to pass seven tests.
Kate is sure he's crazy—until she sees him bring a girl back from the dead. Now saving her mother seems crazily possible. If she succeeds, she'll become Henry's future bride, and a goddess.

4.5 STARS The Goddess Test is one of the best deubt books I have ever had the pleasure to read. Aimee Carter has created a story world which pulled me stright in and held me the whole book. The characters are all well rounded and likeable. Kate was an amazing character to read about and to see how she coped with her new life and the test she went though. James is really likeable and funny at times.Henry was on and off for the first half of the book for me but by the next half i think i loved him nearly as much as kate. What I loved most about The Goddess Test was how at the end i didnt see the twist and turns coming at all. Also how the book was about the gods and myths. Favourite quote "I rule the dead.I am not one of them" The plot for this book is amazing and such a nice change from angels, vampires and werewolves. The Goddess Test is a breath of fresh air in YA books if your loking for some thing different the goddess test is a MUST read for you. I can't wait to see what happens in the 2nd book.

Butterface is a hard book for me to write a review for because on the other hand i loved the idea for the book but it was also really short and it felt hurried in parts.I wished we would have had more of a back story for Beth and more info on hemifacial microsamia which she suffers from. Lucky was a enjoyable character and I felt stight from the start of book he really like Beth and her hemifacial microsamia didn't bother him. Hemifacial microsomia is a congenital disorder that affects the development of the lower half of the face, most commonly the ears, the mouth and the mandible. It can occur on one side of the face or both. If severe it can lead to difficulties in breathing, obstructing the trachea and requiring a tracheotomy. It is the second most common facial birth defect after clefts, with an incidence in the range of 1 in 3500 to 4500

One word WOW.Insight is beautiful written.I love how Jamie Magee wove in soul mates, zodiac signs, insights(like powers),strings to travel to different dimensions and reincartion all in to the story. Willow is the main character and what an amazing one at that. She is so likeable and the way she puts everyone before herself is great. Landen is awesome I loved him from the start. what i liked the most from his character is his relonship with his grand-father. Landen and Willow are so cute together you can just tell the bond they have even from the start when they just dreamed about each other. Drake want's Willow and he will stop at nothing until he gets her. Even tho i should not like him as character i find that i do something just pulls me to him. To sum up this book it's awsome altough i just liked it at the start but by the time Willow gets told about her insight i totaly loved it and was sucked right in to this new world.my favourite part of this book was the idea that everyone has a soul mate.Quote that I loved the most and cried happy tears with is "I found you.No one can keep us apart now,and our love will now be the story told to define how sacred love is" Please Jamie hurry up and write + publish book 2 I need it NOW and please let there be more of Marc in it to.

Tiger's curse is total book candy and i enjoyed every delious word and had to savour every page. The story begins with the prologue telling the tale of two brothers that are turned into tigers over 300 years ago then in chapacter one we meet Kesley who is looking for a summer job and ends up working at a fair ground visting her home town and ends up doing odd jobs and helping with a beautiful white tiger. As Kesley spends time with her tiger reading to it and enjoying it's company. Then a man shows up wanting to buy the tiger. When the tiger is sold to Mr Kadam he offers Kesley the job of helping him settle the tiger in india. Kesley argees to go and that is where her jounery begins as she learns about Ren the tiger/man and her part in breaking the curse and falling in love. Kesley is such a great character sometimes a bit hot or cold but you can see why she is like that.Going on this trip to India with her was like going on holiday. You cant help but be amazed by her strength with every thing that gets throw at her in this book. Ren is totaly amazing.Him and Kesley are adorable together.I loved seeing there bond grow and really really hope that it all works out for them. The world that Colleen Houck has created is out of this world and unlike anything i have read before.I loved all the trials Ren and Kesley had to go though. Also the way she worked in India tales and myths with this amazing love story. The ending of the book was sad and fab at the same time and leaves me wanting more and more i can't wait to see where Colleen Houck takes the next 4 book's. My hope's for tigers quest(book 2) is more adventure for Ren and Kesley.Hering more about the man who put the curse on the brothers. also for Kesley not to fall for Kishan(Ren's brother)charm's because she belongs with Ren. HELP ME june is to far away!

Intrinscal is a book treasure and worth it's weight in gold and diamonds with a totaly kick ass cover that I adore. From the prologue this book had it's grip on me and would not let go until the awesome ending. When I started reading Intrinsical I thought it was just going to be another ghost story but it was so much more than that which was such a nice change. What i loved most about this story is i just could not tell what was going to happen next and how the story was going to play out. The characters -Yara is amazing. Really well written and beliveable and likeable as a character. -Brent had me loving him from the start of the book -Cherie & Steve are both great characters.Cherie is the BFF every girl wants also I loved how open minded Steve seems to be. Favourite parts -How both Yara and Brent's family's all had a history at Pendrell. -When Brent makes it snow for Yara.(so cute) -The way Yara wanted to save Brent before herself and he wanted to do the same thing for her. Parts that made me cry -when Yara & Brent's song played on the radio. -the scence when Yara is saying goodbye to Cherie in the pool house. Intrinsical is a must read for any YA fan. I really cant wait to where Lani Woodland takes this series next. What I would love to see in the 2nd book more about Vovo Yara's grandma. Loads more of Brent(a must). More ghost's and another beautiful cover. I really can't wait to read the follow up to this Amazing book.

First off i just want to say how much i love this cover and i really like the fact that if you look at the underside of it it has the blue print of Godspeed and where the authors bio is insted of the author picture you have amy in her cryo tank! I never really read scfi books apart from the host by s.meyer and this book but that might have to change because Across the universe was unlike anything i have ever read it had me from the 1st page when amy and her family where being cryogenically frozen and held me til the end because i had to know what all the secerts where on Godspeed. Amy and Elder are both great characters and i really enjoyed reading about them and loved how the chapters were written with Amy and Elder swapping POV each time. All the characters in this book made it what it was too. Across the universe is a totaly awesome book and all i can say is please please please beth write a 2nd book because i need to read more about Amy and Elder.
